Educational Technology is behavioral scientific approach to the teaching learning situation. It does not imply the use of machine or other hardware items although sometimes there are used on need basic. There are TWO aspects of Educational Technology which are Technology in education (Hardware) and Technology of education (Software).
Technology in education is equipment or the use of various mechanical and electronic gadget like computers, laptops, desktops, keyboards, power supply, film projectors, mouse and printer. Technology of education is the application of psychological principles of learning in education to make teaching and learning lessons more effective. For example are Word, Excel, databases, website and operating systems.
The important of the Educational Technology are increasing the effectiveness on teaching learning process and maximizing the output. Educational Technology become more effective by bring the technology devices to improvement in the teaching learning process. It can be develop the cognitive, the effective and the psycho motor domain of the pupil to the maximum. There are different principles to be followed in different subjects while teaching. All these principles used in psychology, sociology, mathematics, engineering and other social in the teaching learning process. This makes the system more competent which result in maximum output at minimum output.
The advantages of Educational Technology are to provide equal opportunities for all type of children, can motivate children for learning, improve the skill and quality of learning, and minimize the problem in education.
